Entertainment Alternatives in Chattanooga, TN

As the birthplace of the tow truck, one of the many museums Chattanooga has to offer is the International Towing And Recovery Hall Of Fame And Museum, hosting many old vehicles and tow trucks, as well as the Wall of the Fallen: A memorial to generate public awareness of the dangers involved in the towing & recovery industry and to permanently record and commemorate those lost. Other museums in the area include Hunter Museum of American Art, the Chattanooga Regional History Museum, and the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, the largest operating historical railroad in the south.

If museums are not your interest, and the numerous art and outdoor recreational opportunities do not catch your eye, there are many bright festivals to attend in Chattanooga. The Riverbend Festival, an annual week-long music festival, is held in June in the downtown area, drawing in vast crowds from all over the Tennessee Valley. The Southern Brewers Festival and the River Roast are beer and barbeque festivals respectively, celebrating traditional southern staples. The Between The Bridges wakeboarding and skateboarding competition, and the TaleSpin storyteller's festival are new events, and the Chattanooga Market features events all throughout the year.

Chattanooga hosts the NCAA Division 1-AA National Football Championships at Max Finley stadium every year. Additionally, the Chattanooga Lookouts are a Class AA Southern League baseball team that play at the downtown AT&T Field, and are affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds.
